Welcome to the Cert Connector’s page!
Have you been thinking about becoming certified and not sure how to go about it? The Greater Jacksonville Chapter offers a mentoring program to any candidate, member or non-member, who wishes to become certified. We have many study guides and resources available for check-out and a great group of ladies to network with. We are here to help you achieve your goal. The first step is to view the following information from the AHDI web site. By reading this information, it is likely that many potential questions about the test, how it is administered, and what will be included on the test will be answered.

- Another tool available to MTs is the Oak Horizon prep courses. Information about the courses can be viewed here. (http://www.ahdionline.org/scriptcontent/cmtprep.cfm)
For some wonderful words of inspiration on becoming certified, click on the News link on the GJC website and read the New Beginnings article by Peter Preziosi, PhD, CAE, Executive Director of AHDI.
AHDI offers a voluntary certification exam to individuals who wish to become Certified Medical Transcriptionists (CMTs). The CMT credential is awarded upon successfully passing the AHDI certification examination for medical transcriptionists. This credential is maintained through recertification upon the completion of current continuing education requirements and payment of a recertification fee. AHDI’s purpose in promoting this credential is to protect the public interest by promoting high professional and ethical standards, improving the practice of medical transcription, and recognizing those professionals who demonstrate their competency in medical transcription through the fulfillment of stated requirements. – AHDI CMT EXAM QUICK REFERENCE.
By logging onto the AAMT web site at www.ahdionline.org, you can fill out an application and find useful information regarding the testing process and frequently asked questions, such as what information will be covered on the exam, cost of the exam, when you will find out your results, and so much more. I am looking forward to hearing from you!
